Cholpon KGRK LLC

LLC «Cholpon KGRK» was established based on LLC «Cholpon Factory.» The production activities of «Cholpon Factory» began in the late 1980s in the Central Laboratory of Automation of the Kyrgyz Mining Plant (JSC «KGRK») and focused on the production of respiratory protective equipment (RPE). Since 1994, the factory has been producing the SB-1 «L-200» filtering half mask and, since 1997, the roll-filtering material (FFP-3 class).

The factory is the only producer of respirators and filter cloth in Kyrgyzstan.

The factory has supplied its products to enterprises in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. All products are certified and meet the requirements of GOST, STO, and TR CU.

LLC «Cholpon Factory» owned four territories:

  1. The first is in the Southern industrial zone, with an assembly and welding shop, a casting shop, an energy-mechanical shop, and administrative buildings. The total area is 50,491 m² (5.49 hectares).
  2. The second is a workshop for roll-filtering material production, with a total area of 27,701 m² (2.77 hectares).
  3. The third territory, for elastic cord production, is located on KGRK’s premises, with a total area of 1,097 m² (0.11 hectares).
  4. The fourth territory is a laboratory building, used for respirator production, with a total area of 1,994 m² (0.199 hectares).

By 1993, the respirator production had scaled up to 8 million units annually.

LLC «Cholpon KGRK» can fully meet the needs of Kyrgyz enterprises for respirators.

The respirators comply with their description, protecting the respiratory organs from harmful substances. It’s the only enterprise of its kind that has retained its full capacity. Raw materials are of high quality, unlike cheaper, lower-quality imports from Russia, Uzbekistan, and China, which compromise worker safety.

The government must support domestic production programs for the sake of citizens’ health. LLC «Cholpon KGRK» can also employ up to 150 people.

Products

  • Respirator SB-1 «L-200»: A soft half mask made of electrostatically charged fibers that filter 99% of dust microparticles.
  • Roll-filtering material (RFM).

The factory produces 400-450 thousand respirators and 650 thousand RFM units per month. All products undergo strict quality control.

Applications

  • At nuclear power plants;
  • In mining and explosive work;
  • In electric and gas welding operations;
  • For handling radioactive and toxic chemicals.

Future Prospects The factory requires investments to acquire and install advanced equipment for the production of next-generation respirators. Plans include expanding the product range, upgrading lab certification, and increasing exports to Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
